Join the Mowing Team

 

If you decide to join the mowing team you'll probably not be expected to do the courts more than once a month. If we get lots of volunteers it will be even less frequent.  If you haven't mowed or lined before we'll give you some lessons in how to use the kit.

Joining the Mowing Team is a great way to get to know your neighbours, some good gentle exercise and an opportunity to contribute to the local community.

We use a rotary mower for the court edges and a cylinder mower on the playing surfaces themselves.  Both have petrol engines and are self-propelled, so it's not hard work and so long as the courts are cut regularly emptying the cuttings isn't a major chore either.  Lining is easy, just takes a bit of practice.
